Not a good company to work for

Pros

None-unless you are part of the "selected" group. It doesn't matter how hard you work, what you do, or how many hours you put in. It will never be shown, mentioned, or rewarded unless you are on of the "liked" people.

Cons

Many. Very much a who's friend/buddy are you. If you are part of the "right" group you can do no wrong. If you are an outsider you are treated as such. Imagine working 80 hour weeks for years and getting blamed for everything that was outside of your control. Bad Management decisions...Still your fault. They call it a "relationship" culture. They do not care how much experience you have and will never listen to it, if its not what they don't want to hear. They will then treat you as if you know nothing.

Pros

Overall, a good long-standing company that fits perfect for those who want a uninspiring 9-5 job. - Good benefits for a CPG. - Very kind co workers. - General flexibility with various remote positions

Cons

Prospective college students stay away. If you have big dreams, don’t start your career here. GMI is for long-haulers who want to coast their way to retirement. Take a risk and try another career path if CPG isn’t your dream. - Mundane and uninspiring work. - Skills obtained are niche, so don’t expect to ever leave the CPG industry with any valuable talents. - Pay is lack luster - While the people you work with are kind, you can tell most have settled with their future and don’t have drive to do something bigger, better. Acceptable for the general worker, but if you have big goals - skip this company.
