Pros

The People, the opportunity for growth. You can control your own career path through your performance and get rewarded for achieving personal and professional objectives.

Cons

The amount of time spent dealing with e-mails and other non essential items. Many times we need to check work over and over to ensure everyone is on board with our actions.

Pros

-Summer is stacked with events to help with networking and understanding corporate culture -Many professional development opportunities: educational resources and training -Actual projects (affecting bottom-line) and opportunity to speak with key decision makers -Amiability of senior execs to spend time with you to talk about careers and the company -Emphasis on work-life balance, even as an intern

Cons

-Corporate hierarchy seems very structured -Intro roles seem heavy on reporting analysis -Not the most innovative company (need less process inefficiencies)

Pros

If you can schmooze with the best of them ---- the sky is the limit........ If you are one of those individuals who does not really care about relationships and is after just a performance based role...where merit/recognition is solely based on performance (like in trading) ...then look elsewhere.....i've definitely seen ppl with 4.0 gpas from top schools get turned down for jobs/promotions --- because they weren't "sociable".....of course if you are one of those social types ---- and you perform --- then this is the place to be

Cons

kinda the double edged sword of working at a company that places a high level of emphasis on relationships/social activities/work life balance ----- if you aren't social/comfortable wit networking --- i can see it being a drag
