Pros

This is a very good place to work. People are friendly.

Cons

Union workers can be lazy. Often minorities are promoted over more qualified people. OEM's don't always work out well.

Pros

Working at the headquarters is great... you get flexible hours, on-site services (like childcare, healthcare, post office, bank, gym, massages, salon, etc.) and a really good work-life overall

Cons

If you want to start working at a plant, do a lot of research first. Some of the plants are good (try Cedar Rapids, IA if you are an engineer) but others are a far cry from that (with management offering mere lip service to work-life balance, an unfair distribution of work load, and no proper accountabality)
