General Mills is a great company to work for.

Pros

Overall great company for a large corporation. I have worked for one other large corporation and it was not good. General Mills truly had a team culture from the top down to the shop floor. Ideas are given due consideration and the compensation package is outstanding. A lot of the package is tied directly to your performance but it is done quite fairly.

Cons

Nothing that is worth putting in writing.

- A company that embraces families and strives to impact the community. - Excellently educated people are abundant. - Opportunities to grow your career are plentiful.

Cons

- I cannot think of a single negative - perhaps lower compensation. What you lose in direct compensation is gained in benefits and productive work environment.

for a major company they didn't have procedures in place for training

good benefits, i had flexible wrk hours, vacation was 3 weeks prorated, they put on great lunches for many reasons

Cons

no training materials were in place when i started, they expected me to document all of the processes even for depts i didnt work in, the reports i was trained on were used for 5 months, then they gave me 3 more to work through without training for 5 months...impossible expectations of a new employee, no conceren for personal life, i had to work 10-20 overtime every week
