Pros

Committed to producing high quality products. Many opportunities for professional growth.

Cons

Leadership not committed to individual development - few managers know how to assist othesr with development. Manufacturing leadership often sets unrealistic goals, then accepts superficial and unsustainable results.

Pros

Great company with great people, a great work ethic and very strong moral values. Autonomy is often provided, allowing you to get on with your work and get things done. Most departments are flexible allowing you to take personal time when needed without beating you up about it. In saying that, there are always exceptions to the rule.

Cons

Not everybody gets things done when they are given the autonomy to do it! General Mills are a very nice company, who are sometimes too nice meaning there can be some dead wood lying around. If you act like a work horse you will be taken advantage of.
