      Friendly people Management committed to managing change Flexible schedule and good technology in managing employee information

      Cons

      Promotions are based on Godfather relationships and less likely on merit.

      I have been very impressed with General Mills as a company in almost every regard.

      Pros

      I feel there is ample opportunity to develop and progress within the organization. It is also a very stable company that performs year after year and provides great shareholder value.

      Cons

      At points in time it feels too conservative in the way it goes about doing things. In line with that sometimes I feel like promotions can be stifled because one hasn't served his or her time.

      Pros

      Very stable employment. Education benefits are very good to have. Lots of opportunity to learn through projects. Working in team environment.

      Cons

      Upward mobility is slow. Salaries are mid range of competition. Not all benefits are useful but included in compensation. Recent college grads are given preference over experienced professionals.
