Pros

Flexible schedule and benefits packages

Cons

Experience and ability to apply and produce are not valued. If you are morally and ethically challenged and have a good political bend you will do well. Rewards the young and inept, who aren't willing to pay the price and truly learn and execute.

Pros

Half day Friday's are awesome. Only there because they don't pay as well as other organizations.

Cons

General Mills Australia has totally misread the Australian grocery space by not adapting and developing brands that were once innovators and leaders in their categories as opposed to brands that now follow their competition with zero innovation. Head office in Melbourne has been turned into an uninspiring dog eat dog culture that has seen many good people leave. What was once a great culture of inclusion and common goals has been removed. WHY! Marketing is run by part time 'mums' who don't really want to be selling spaghetti in Chinese containers. Senior Management no longer have the respect of the teams due to the culture and divisiveness they he's fostered within the sales, marketing and finance teams. This business is not what it once was. It's running only on past reputation, and their once powerful brands are slowly being dissolved by the majors.

Pros

Terrific marketing and general-management education Surrounded by top-notch talent at all levels True commitment to the brands and consumers

Cons

A very political place -- need to know and kowtow to the right people Passive-aggressive behavior in discussions and decision-making A lot of meetings really slow things down (and a lot of it is for show)
