Getting Better at Compensation but Needs a Culture Change

Pros

Allowing more remote work Increase in compensation Good Benefits Good People to work with Leading Edge Technology/Product Job Security

Cons

A slow sinking ship that will eventually fail if it doesn't adapt... Schedule driven, where unnecessary risk is added to meet schedule and quality of product suffers because the main goal is to deliver something, Integrity with customer is failing There is no money or time to improve processes or correct mistakes...so the same mistakes keep getting made. Alot of tribal knowledge that gets lost if the one working on something leaves the company. This is in every level of the company. If you are a good engineer/producer you will be swamped with work and there is not enough people for all the work. Teams/programs are in organized in silos and don't communicate with each other so mistakes happen alot or things get worked in duplicate or not at all. Culture is...if it ain't broke don't fix it but there is no continuous improvement. There are money saving and efficiency opportunities that are not take advantage of.

Low Pay, poor morale, High turnover & lack of advancement

Pros

The mission and projects; some of the coworkers and few management

Cons

Low Pay, poor morale, High turnover & lack of advancement. There is little reason to be a high achiever at this place and they reward mediocrity. Truly was a waste of many years there and overall, a disappointment really. High reduction in workforce due to financial problems which results in low raises and lack of training opportunities for advancement

Pros

9/80 schedule Okay benefits (could be better) Supporting the military Manufacturing facility is clean Facility and location is nice On-site recreation facility

Cons

Some of the production supervisors are arrogant and are micromanagers. They always ask what you're doing and jump to conclusions without knowing or even asking the facts. The company doesn't provide adequate tools to complete the work,we end up always "borrowing" tools/equipment from another departments. Parts to complete projects are ALWAYS not available and they expect you to meet the deadline with no parts! Lack of communication on what needs to be done, and no coordination with different groups working on the same project. Bonuses are great but seems like everyone gets them regardless if they work hard or not; hence, this can make employees unmotivated to work hard. Some managers are hard to get ahold of and seem to just not care. No consequences for unacceptable behavior from management, and they get away with it. Limited growth opportunities. No training or development plan for supervision.
