Downgraded healthcare benefits for 2024

Pros

This is a notice to be transparent about benefits changes.

Cons

In a time when there is so much employment competition, GA has decided to downgrade its healthcare plans for its employees. After nearly 2 decades of employment and as a happy Kaiser member, I am now being faced with a deductible-based plan, costs of labs/xrays/scans, coinsurance(!) and double the max out of pocket. I didnt even know such a terrible plan existed through Kaiser and is the opposite of what member has always been like. To add insult to injury, there was a message saying costs went up but the company was covering most of it...yeah right. Premium is the same and plan was downgraded! For the first time in my life I was issued a new card so it can stated there is a deductible and max out of pocket (again, double what it was this year.) When a company lists benefits like "comprehensive healthcare" just know that they chose to take a step backwards instead of forwards. Details matter and not all employee-sponsored plans are created equal.

Its a job

Pros

Has a pension plan. Partial work from home, depending on your position or boss or whatever they choose for the week. You can suck at your job and not get fired.

Cons

To many supervisors are hired from their rank in the military and take no time to understand the position. I feel like it is a house of cards that can fall anytime. They allow people that don't work to stay which makes the workers start to decrease their efforts. Pay raises are always around 2.4-3%

Pros

9/80 Work Schedule Medical Benefits

Cons

It is apparent that certain individuals consistently receive preferential treatment based on personal connections rather than merit. It is disheartening to witness how the arrival of a new manager has further intensified the problem, resulting in the departure of many talented individuals.
