      Pros

      Flexible work schedule, benefits package (one of the few places still offering a pension plan), competitive salary. Onsite fitness centers in many buildings, some of which are better than others. Many employee discounts available.

      Cons

      The product support engineering (technical writing) department is stagnant and disharmonious. Very little attention is given to what is best for employees. In fact, very little attention is given to anything beyond what the next set of metrics numbers look like. There is very little advanced planning nor attempt to make the department efficient. This leads to a boom or bust workflow wherein one team works extra hours while other teams languish in boredom. Very little opportunity for advancement within the department. Annual review system is severely broken.

      Pros

      Depending on the business area, it can be a very relaxed work environment. Decent benefits package, however it has gone down hill in the last few years.

      Cons

      No real path for advancement unless someone quits or retires. Below par for base compensation.
