Free lunch and discounts and my coworkers are friendly, diversity

Cons

They work you to death for little pay, went from 2 shifts to 3 shifts and we still do mandatory overtime everyday, management is rude, disrespectful, and sarcastic. They don't encourage you. Worked on Thanksgiving day, there was no holiday pay I made 8.50/hr. And then was sent home 4 hrs early because they needed to cut hrs.... Under staffed.... i can't wait to find better employment!! I am young and would not want to stay long term. And the benefits are unaffordable for what you get paid. Almost like a sweat shop but even they get chairs.

Good ol boy network. Not a lot of diversity in senior management

Pros

Interesting insight into the airline industry. Most senior staff do not have a degree which means there is opportunity for advancement. Fast changing environment and adaptability for learning in a new industry

Cons

They only promote their own. Good ol boy network. I have never seen an intelligent person stay there for long. I witness a pregnant woman denied break because she was a minority. Run if you can. Salary is not compettive

When you can't get hired no one else gate gourmet will give you a chance .

Cons

There was time that you couldn't make them deadlines and it was pressure in the cold temperature
