Pros

Always being put to the test. Great opportunity to prove yourself and tackle unexpected challenges. You will never get bored. Go home proud of what you achieve each and every day.

Cons

Very long hours and unreasonably high expectations! No work-life balance. Poor benefits package. Promotion and job security not necessarily based on performance.

Pros

Always something changing, never boring since the airline industry drives Gate Gourmet's main business lines

Cons

International travel was expected but rarely happened. People often quit due to the unfair pressures and management's KITA methodology (Kick In The Ass) which resulted in people being frustrated, working long hours and being told to always have their phone on and their email up.

Pros

Most of the old company was fired so there was a lot of moving and shifting and reorgs. We did a lot of hiring and some worked out and some didn't. A lot of people were learning together and that made things pretty interesting. The main offices were nice and there isn't a lot of traffic there. Plenty to do and see in the area. Most of the backstabbing and politics were at the senior management level, not the lower levels so we were pretty insulated. Big vision for the company and the spinoffs are all very interesting because they could save the company.

Cons

Employees are pawns and shuffled around like little chess people. No one cares how many hours you work, and you end up with a lot of repetitive things. The customer service was pretty bad because we didn't know what to say to customers. There were also a lot of of big computer installation problems.
