Pros
My coworkers are some of my favorite people. I do believe the company is taking many strides to promote employee wellness and satisfaction. There are excellent opportunities for advancement. Gate Gourmet is a fast paced and sometimes intense environment, which I thrive in. I've never been bored in my time here. I feel like a lot of people on Glass Door are way too negative. I read the comments on this site before I began employment with GGI and I sincerely feel like this isn't an accurate representation of this company. Gate Gourmet is not perfect, but it is one of my favorite places I've ever worked. I have an eternal green light to take full initiative and ownership of my work. I know I have an impact value here. Also, you are immediately 100% vested in your 401k match... which is always nice.
Cons
Health benefits have poor coverage and are too expensive. Mid to senior level employees aren't given enough vacation when they start. Transparency from the top level could use a bit of improvement.
