Pros

Great benefit, great people to work with. Discount, but with lots of promotions they are doing lately, you dont' have to work here to get that kind of discount.

Cons

Very chaotic, daily drama, lots of brown-nosing. Some executives very openly treat their employees as if they're their personal servants. Sadly looks like this is a normal thing for them.

Pros

Relaxed dress code Flexible Scheduling Decent Benefits (but shrinking by the day) Some very talented people No two days are the same...never a dull moment and generally time flies by.

Cons

One word....Payroll. Its interesting the extent to which the company has gone to when attempting to "create" earnings. I need someone to explain to me how cutting 25 hours of payroll at $8 an hour helps our company when I have many customers not being helped, goods not reaching the floor, lights not changed, dirty stores, high shrink, messy standards, employee morale issues leading to turnover due to overwork and on and on. This year, PTO balances were essentially stolen especially from tenured employees who had large balances. We used to be able to carry PTO over from year to year up to a reasonable amount. Last year, the decision was made...use up all your balance in 1 year or lose whatever you have and gain no more new PTO till you do. Hmmmmm...... Which of your employees would have the largest PTO balances? Why that would be your most tenured (loyal) employees and those who like to work and not use sick time all the time! Hey I know...lets screw them out of their rightly earned benefits! (except in Calif where coincidentally enough HQ is located!...way to lead by example!) Incompetence at the HQ level. I have literally been told to put up a sign and take it down 3 different times in one day. We have multiple coupons that don't work right, haphazard communication to the stores that many times give vague i (or just plain wrong) information about sales. A sense of desperation to try anything to get customers into stores. The company is getting better at driving traffic to stores. The problem is they just seem to forget that once there, they are disappointing our customers more times than not because of the issues brought up above when discussing payroll! In short....WE NEED PEOPLE ON THE FLOOR!!!
