      Good for the discount and that's about it! Lazy, inefficient, dumb managment that is too cliquish.

      Pros

      Great discount that is applicable to sister brands Old Navy and Banana Republic. Flexible scheduling. Work as a holiday temp & stock up!

      Cons

      Poor management that are snooty, snobby and cliquish. They constantly look down on Sales Associate. No appreciate whatsoever. No ability to recognize hardworking employees versus lazy employees. No recognition of people's past work experience & how they can bring their talents/skills to the Gap.

      Good people, not so good managers.

      Pros

      The discount and working with the customers can be exciting. The environment is good, and with the music playing and the fun clothing, it made for a fun place to work. The other employees on my same level were also very good.

      Cons

      The pay was not very good, and the workers were generally pretty good. The managers were not very good at what they do, and had their own hidden agendas when trying to get you to do things. They played favorites, and hours were not spread out evenly. It seemed like the managers did not want to help you better yourself in the company.

      Pros

      There is pretty good pay, and I enjoy the work, but I am not a fan of the management team. Overall the vision for moving forward is good and easy to believe in.

      Cons

      There is a serious disconnect between the vision at the highest levels of management and the lower management of the finance group At a lower level so much of the message gets lost in translation. It is disappointing that often the people that work the hardest and put in the most time do not get rewarded - no thank yous, no comp time, and next year, no raises.
