It's a job. A place for a new graduate to get some experience so they can get a good job. A good place to learn how NOT to do something

Cons

Middle management has admitted that GB chronically under spends on IT budget, but then expect to lead the industry. No promotions No pay raises No training No future. CIO _expects_ everyone to be positive abort their work, yet fails to give general staff salary increase.

Work from home (but you pay for all your own equipment and supplies - phone, internet, printer ink, paper, etc.)

Cons

Benefits are terribly expensive. 401k match is embarrassing. Company focuses on making money and doesn’t spend it on employee benefits. No perks that one would expect from an organization of this size. Opportunities for advancement seem to go to people “in the club” versus people who actually do their jobs well.

Poor management style. NO flexibility with deadlines. Extreme and excessively high caseload. Expectation to work 10+ hours per day to "get the job done" with the understanding that it is expected as a salary employee. Unreasonable expectations for daily tasks.
