Pros

Global reach. We had good coffee in our office.

Cons

Just about everything else. Advice if you are considering going to work for these people: Don't. If you're like I was, you've probably read a mix of good and bad about AJG, but the bad is really bad. And if you're like me, you think the bad is probably just rare exceptions in certain areas. And like me, you would be dead wrong. These people will promise you the world, then throw you under the bus if it suits them. This is a very fragmented organization, so all the resources they have will likely not be made available to you, even though they'll tell you otherwise. Don't just walk away. RUN!!!

Pros

a few good people work here, corporate matches 4% of 401 contribution.

Cons

benefits are awful at best, health insurance has deductibles for everything, copayments, and a coinsurance as they only cover 80%. lots to pay out for a dr. visit. dont get sick! mgmt enjoys working you hard and stressing you out. you are a mere cog to them. if this type of situation gets your juices flowing, this is the place for you to work. there are always too few people and too much work, and that is the attitude that permeates from upper management, not enough hours to get it done? they will say to work smarter and in the meantime, show up early and leave late, and here is weekend access to the office. if that doesn't do it for you, you are told to be happy you have a job. dont like it, there is the door. very demeaning and demoralizing culture here. it is quite depressing. your best bet is to just look elsewhere. this is not a good place to go if you value yourself and your career.

Pros

They paid to get my license

Cons

Starting out I loved everything about my job. Then changes in the management structure changed the course and only got worse. First, the supervisor positions were never posted. Given to the favorite picks. So I knew then moving up would only happen if I made it to the good list. The micromanaging began. Waiting weeks, months or longer to get an answer to resolve a client’s concern. One supervisor causing conflict within their own team. Creating division and toxic environment. The other supervisor not acting like a supervisor at all. Not answering questions, not participating in chats not even holding his team accountable. Got a raise but none of the responsibility. Forget bringing up your concerns, you will be gaslit. Never will they admit fault. You’re guilty until proven innocent. Going above heads to express concerns helps none. They will join in on the humiliation. HR is no better. You can go years without getting into trouble and the next thing you know, you’re written up and basically forced out. I can’t speak for the rest of the company, but my division was being run so horribly that I’m surprised we still had the contract. Getting yelled at daily from customers over the mismanagement and ongoing issues that were reported over and over, but no change. Promises made to end the conversation, then taken back because they didn’t mean it. Then, review time. Yay this is where it is so going to make up for it. NOPE. What my check increased to barely would cover an uber eats delivery for one. But we would sit in out town hall meeting hearing about how much money the company made. Our raises certainly didn’t show it. Then you see a job posting on indeed with a starting pay way above what I was getting paid. I was a proven employee. Proved myself daily. Excellent reviews. Great QA scores. Did the work of three people when they were fired or quit for months. Not even a thank you. The ego of the supervisor superseded any logical thought process. If she didn’t come up with the idea, don’t count on the change happening. I didn’t leave because I hate the job. I left because of how I was treated for such a long time. I do not recommend.
