Pay is not worth position No control of claims Client controls the adjusters work desk Not enough time in a day to complete the job Taking off from work will put you a day behind for every day missed. Micro management. Procedures change daily. Brokers control account managers and etc

Pros

AJG seems like a fantastic company to work for, with a good employee philosophy. I met (virtually) some fantastic people who I really enjoyed working with. Since they build their business through acquisitions and mergers, it's nice that they offer such a generous severance package for positions eliminated at the branch level. They took good care of me.

Cons

They come into a potential acquisition with catch phrases like 'Everyone's on the bus' and 'Do no harm'. The reality is they don't need accounting or HR staff at the branch level. To 'stay on the bus', I would have had to accept a receptionist/support position, having been the company's controller.

Good ole boys culture, very tactical (not able to think like a consultant), not able to grow revenue on their own, Producers seldom know how to produce, horrible benefits and pay.
