Pros
Overall, the company is going in a positive direction under the leadership of CEO Andrew Witty, a young CEO with international experience. The benefits are amazing and under the right departmental leadership, your voice can be heard. I had several managers and the best ones inspired me to stretch beyond my initial goals.
Cons
It's a really big company so bureaucracy can seem at times a bit daunting. That said, there are a few initiatives that are looking to reduce the number of approvals needed. Promotions can seem arbitrary at time. The people who work at GSK have been there a long time so while they are very familiar with how things are done, change can be slow.
