While the XYZ and its compound metrics prevail as Gods, the church seems to have begun to recognize the need of making the religion a tiny bit more humane and more appealing to potential and current GLGers, but in vain, since many have still been turning away from it, impeding a shift to worshipping different Gods, which is hoped to bring joy in working here. On a more serious note, if you want to learn about (t)ruthless US corporate culture, go no further, you will get a good taste at GLG.

The job is boring and unchallenging. I don't know anyone that legitimately enjoys the work, which is why 40% of the company leaves immediately after bonuses are given each year. The org. culture is haemorrhaging and there is nothing that the company can do about it because the job is mindless. It's not HR, management or anyone's fault, as its simply impossible to make the day-to-day work interesting. The only bearable part of the week is Friday at 17:00...free drinks. Having said that I think most of the managers have good intentions and are genuinely ok people. Career Opportunities = good if you don't want to be challenged and like spending all day doing admin-tasks termed "research" (now client solutions, which is more accurate) Compensation & Benefits = pay is fine Work/life balance = once you stop caring you can leave at 6pm everyday which will happen in a few months, although this may not be the case if you have a certain type of manager.
