      - It's a thoughtful and kind workplace environment. You'll get a lot of experience doing work for an LGBTQ media non-profit.

      Cons

      - They don't pay their interns.

      Passionate and dedicated staff.

      Cons

      If you ask questions about goals and vision for the organization you will never get a clear answer or any clarity but will be told time and time again that your only job is to fight for "100% LGBTQ acceptance" or to "change the narrative" or something else super super vague and empty. This leads to things being put off or not prioritized until the last minute, making an unnecessary fanatic and stressful work environment. Decisions are made top-down with no room for feedback, even when it directly impacts or pertains communities not represented by leadership.

      Pros

      Absolutely wonderful, kind, intelligent, and compassionate co-workers. Flexible hours on rare occasion. During a few weeks in the summer everyone is just 'on-call' for the second half of the day on Fridays.

      Cons

      Poor communication between leadership and the people on the ground doing the work. Leadership is sometimes very out of touch with the community it seeks to serve.
