      Pros

      Exciting change agent national advocacy organization. Opportunity to make a difference at a grass roots level, and become a part of the management structure, and work towards building and growing an organization that impacts the lives of thousands.

      Cons

      Very loose structure. At times the organization seemed focused on the special events and the parties rather than the work. The organization had odd team building sessions that didn't seem progressive.

      Pros

      Good experience of first office job, feel like you're making a difference, gives you a chance to work creatively and meet people in the industry.

      Cons

      Overall, a very antisocial job, didn't involve much interacting, a lot of just sitting and watching bad movies.

      Pros

      Good benefits (health/dental, transit, summer Fridays). Intelligent and kind people working in the trenches. Decent work/life balance if you know how to manage your time and don't allow yourself be a doormat.

      Cons

      Corporate culture is very passive-aggressive; being direct, asking questions, and pushing back are all viewed as negative traits, and you'll be told to tone it down or get out. Poor pay (slightly below average by non-profit standards), with no real structure for pay raises or performance reviews. Leadership team is insular and self-reinforcing, leading to low morale and high turnover among the rank-and-file.
