Pros

The pay and PTO was good

Cons

Management was awful. They gave ridiculous deadlines and didn’t care about the stress that it took on employees. Most management worked crazy hours and basically demanded that of their employees. Another big thing that I noticed is that hourly employees lied on their timesheets by working more than the 8 hours allowed and only putting 8 just to meet ridiculous deadlines for management.

Pros

The management will recognize your capability is your are a good worker, just overload you with more projects/work, while the poor performance staffs (include project managers & engineers, etc) doing minimum output getting high pay. Strongly recommended for people to join for the salary. Pay is considered above market. Based on current situation, the company is willing to pay high price for a 3rd grade result, which means you can be paid €1 for every €0.01 worth of effort. Highly recommended for smart people. Get more for less. Thumbs up!

Cons

Seeing the company direction, GEA is becoming HR engineering EPC firm. One may think they are going to do projects using HR executives in future. The ratio of HR to employees is high as compared with other companies. People with long working experience can reply that they do not know when questioned their expertise skill, just want to spoon-fed.

GEA Group Response

Thank you for the review. We values our employees and pride ourselves with being responsive. However, as you can imagine, we receive lots of input and suggestions. We have to balance that input as it relates to the long-term objectives of the Company, as well as, how it relates to our fellow colleagues. Also, we believe our new restructuring will bring positive changes to GEA. Thank you again for taking the time to write a review.
