Pros

Adequate wages, global presence, huge market presence in food processing.

Cons

Management all recently centralized in Germany. Benefits are cut to benefit the quarterly financial statements, poor communication internally, almost impossible to get anything accomplished -- terrible teamwork.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear about your concerns. However, we try to communicate with employees and help them to understand what needs to occur and why. We are also working on social events to increase communication and promote teamwork. Thank you again for the review. Pros

Was stable before reorganizing

Cons

Going in wrong direction. Can't even effectively pay their bills. Not because of money, because of outsourcing to Asia.

Thank you for your review. We are still adjusting from the restructuring. We believe that the restructuring will create a more positive future at GEA. We are sorry that you feel that we have lost customer focus. Coming from a management position yourself, we rely on our managers to create good customer relationships. Thank you again for the feedback. We appreciate all reviews. Demile Robinson Gilmore Vice President, Human Resources North America and Latin America

Pros

There are some truly great people still left at GEA. The benefits are good with an above-par 401K match. Lots of flexibility and a decent amount of vacation time.

Cons

Top heavy management that keeps getting shuffled around. Outside of Germany there is no longer much room to advance and it frequently feels as though non-Germans are treated as second class citizens. While they do promote from within, this is done almost exclusively by nomination which limits both the possible qualified candidates and means that those looking to expand into different roles are unable to do so.
