GE has many career opportunities in healthcare as well as other GE companies. GE offers great opportunities in all the GE businesses. Upper management tries very hard to keep employees informed about changes that are happening within the company.

Cons

You can never get away from work. You have to work every day. We laugh about work/life balance. Managers spend more time on answering email than actually doing work. Not all jobs are posted. Friends hire friends whether they are qualified or not.

Good benefits and retirement, the employee's and fellow workers are great to work with. It is nice to produce a product that helps others have more healthy and productive lives.

Cons

Senior leadership is lacking at the corporate level, and this causes problems for the employee's to try and solve or work around.

Money is great. Great competitive package

Cons

Over Worked, Under appreciated. Under qualified managers delegating responsibilities. Leads to Large Scale FDA Recall. Great people leave because of frustration with a "cost effective" management stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. Over time, the money does not do it anymore. Overtime is becoming a thing of the past with the lack of money going into the company. Too little sucessful modalities trying to hold up a bunch of ill thought terrible ones. Systems are rushed to the field in an "Effort" to be cutting edge, and end up failing with the same problems over and over because nobody listens
