      Pros

      GE gives reasonable benefits. They offer floating holidays, a pension, good vacation and personal days. We have some great customers. Name brand company.

      Cons

      Good luck in actually using your holidays, pension, vacation or personal days. Most managers feel that because you shouldn't take the time off you're given. Your pension probably won't be around in 30 years. You lose the unused vacation time that management won't let you take. You have no work/life balance with GE. Training consists solely of courses meant to legally cover the company. The driving training (and I'm not kidding) was put in place to cover the company in the case of a lawsuit. I have not ever been given any training on how to help my customers. Just legal training.

      GE Healthcare is a hard edged, challenging yet often rewarding place to work. The meek and shy need not apply.

      Pros

      High caliber business environment with very talented people. Always challenging, always moving forward. Pretty cool to work on products and services that can help people in a clinical environment. No matter how good or smart you are there will always be challenges that require exceptional skills.

      Cons

      Not a horribly friendly place - always about the numbers, always about the quarter. recent success is quickly forgotten - "what did you do fo me today?" Too many silos and agendas. Ultra competitive - maybe too much so. Can be very bureaucratic at times. Good people can easily get lost. Too much "who you know."

      Pros

      The benefits are great, and because it is such a large company, there is a lot of room for growth if desired.

      Cons

      It is such a large company that ones hard work isn't always recognized, therefore promotions aren't always given when well deserved.
