      Very easy to get pigeon holed into one job and get stuck there if you don't play the game.

      Pros

      -Biggest company in the world, lots of potential for advancement -After hours classes, development opportunities

      Cons

      -You have to be good at playing the corporate game to advance, doing your job well doesn't matter as much as drinking the kool-aid. -Developing yourself with offered courses / development programs is great but doesn't guarantee you will get noticed or even acknowledged. -work is very structured, little room for innovation (imagination at work, yea right). tasks become repetitive and monotonous and soul crushing.

      Pros

      - Relaxing environment. - It's easy to stand out if you have experience.

      Cons

      - Very low level of employers' experience and knowledge. - Main work is to maintain old projects and you don't have the time or the opportunity to know more for a project. - Bad project management without milestones, plan or knowledge of the projects. - Bad line management without knowing or appreciating engineers' background and experience, unable to put the right persons in the suitable projects/positions, unable to inspire or motivate the engineers. - Feeling the disappointment all over the place. - If you have experience more than 1 year, you don't learn anything.

      Pros

      Large company with diverse career opportunities if willing to relocate. Wide range of training programs.

      Cons

      Complex and bureaucratic organization that struggles to keep customers satisfied. Cumbersome processes and the lack of basic tools make even the most simple tasks burdensome. Extremely internally focused. Management views the only place that talent exists is external to the company - maybe good if you're a new hire. However, the majority of the new hires lack industry and domain expertise and experience. Aoorly run and disfunctional company.
