Pros

Great culture and growth opportunities with lots of mentoring and investment in training. Great projects to work on that fly for decades. Lots of knowledge and experience to learn from. Great place to build an aerospace propulsion career.

Cons

Constant re-org, too much corporate culture which gets in the way of true engineering. Too much emphasis on supply chain and their leaders. Lay-offs seem to be the answer to every financial situation irrespective of industry situation and business position. HR is bogus. Quite a few people are hot headed/strong opinionated which gets annoying after a while

Good benefits package and some very nice and good employees

Cons

System management does not care about engineers and experience. Preference goes to those who has knowledge about only own products and be liked by management. Making promises but dont keep their word. Everything is about showing yourself instead of doing a proper engineering job.

Great company, technology and opportunity to work on high-stakes projects. Great long-term outlook which leads to stable employment for those who can attain management favor.

Cons

Poor salary, declining benefits, ineffective HR organization. I would say GE Aviation is a great company, but the communications team leadership leaves a lot to be desired. The HR organization is non-existent and highly ineffective, leading to a gap in understanding of career opportunities.
