Pros

I cannot think of a single one

Cons

This is the worst place I have ever worked in a very long career. The environment feels like someone found Wolf of Wall Street on Temu. The leadership only values people kissing their backsides. Backstabbing, nepotism, spying, and snitching are all rewarded. Your ideas will not be listened to, you will not be given any freedom, and if you're not part of the clique, you have zero chance of achieving anything here. I've never witnessed a company that expends so much energy massaging the egos of very average employees. A lot of them have only ever worked at this one company, and my god, does it show. It's insane how wonderful they all think they are, giving themselves fake senior sounding job titles, strutting around like ridiculous peacocks. It's hilarious, cringe, and genuinely alarming all at once. Anything you negotiate before joining is completely worthless. These people cannot be trusted. Not just terrible colleagues, but truly awful human beings. They will pressure you to let them control everything you do, and if you push back even slightly, they just fire people as though it's the only way they know how to resolve any kind of conflict. You could literally work anywhere else and be better off than joining this company. Run a mile, then run some more. You have been warned.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback regarding your experience with us. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your time at the company was so negative and that our culture did not align with your expectations. We take allegations regarding favoritism and communication breakdown very seriously. Our goal is to foster an environment where diverse professional backgrounds are valued and where every team member feels empowered to contribute their ideas freely. It is clear from your comments that we missed the mark during your time with us. While we recognize we aren't the right fit for everyone, we are committed to continuous improvement. We are currently reviewing our internal feedback loops and management training to ensure our leadership style remains supportive. We wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Pros

Made some good friends but they all hated this place

Cons

Worked there for seven months, it was the worst ever job. Once I was out through those doors I realized why my work-life was a nightmare for some good months. Someone gets pleasure for firing people, you will never see anything like this. Nepotism and favouritism at its peak, if you're friends with the right people you get away with anything. Forty people witnessed someone getting away with stuff and nothing happened. Having the right friends, in the right place pays off. Upper management too bad to go into details, they have no idea what they do. I can imagine that this review will get a response like: ''Thank you for sharing your review. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience at GDS did not meet your expectations. Feedback like this is difficult to read, however it helps us learn and continue working towards building a better environment for all employees.'' NOBODY CARES! This is just that they look good online. When I was there, no one came to ask me about any of the issues that are mentioned in all the negative reviews.

We hear you and we recognize that a standard 'thank you for your feedback' feels dismissive given how you feel about your seven months here. It’s clear that from your perspective, there is a disconnect between what we say online and the day-to-day reality you experienced. Regarding your point about issues not being addressed internally: we acknowledge that if employees don’t feel safe or heard while they are still behind our doors, the system isn't working as it should. We are currently looking at how we handle internal grievances to ensure that 'who you know' doesn't outweigh 'what you do.' While we may not have seen eye-to-eye during your time here, we genuinely value this level of bluntness. It highlights exactly where our blind spots are. We wish you a much better experience in your next role.

Pros

Decent money to be made if you can survive

Cons

Toxic work environment that will destroy you. Company cannibalizes itself fighting over deals between offices, yes I’m serious. Management treats adult employees like children, you’re strapped to your desk and being yelled at to dial the phone all day. Product is pure trash and they have no interest in fixing it or helping make it an easier sell for reps, just telling you to “pitch more people!” Close rate is literally 2%, and repeat business is basically non existent. Average survival of a rep here is 2-3 months, either because they get fired or are smart enough to see what’s going on and get out. Only people who are insiders that’ve been there a decade can hit target, you never will (and you probably won’t last long enough for a yearly target to even matter!!). Oh and forget about having a life… you’ll get shamed for using your PTO! Take the reviews seriously on here, there’s better opportunities out there.

We’re sorry to read that this was your experience. While we don’t recognize many of the characterizations described here, we take feedback like this very seriously. We work hard to foster a collaborative environment across offices, with clear deal-ownership processes and ongoing improvements to how teams work together. Our management approach is focused on coaching and support. Sales is a performance-driven role however respect and professionalism have always been non-negotiable for us. Regarding product and performance, we continually invest in product development and training, and we closely track close rates and client retention. Many of our team members consistently hit targets and build long-term careers with us. We also actively encourage the use of PTO and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Suggetions that you are not allowed to book holidays and take time off are simply not true. We appreciate the feedback and remain committed to being completely transparent with candidates so they can decide whether this environment is right for them.
