Pros

Base salary is decent yup

Cons

-you are not allowed to sell. Through the entire sales process, you are to only read scripts. This is jarring for someone with eight years of sales experience who is used to HIGH levels of autonomy and trust for my experience -arrogant management. Completely unreasonable and unable to receive feedback. When their judgement is questioned, they get very defensive and insulting. -micromanagement is HIGH -limited access to tools necessary to sales. Only ONE license for zoom info for the whole office. Laughable. If you can’t afford zoom info, get Apollo. -gossip culture is HIGH. Grand levels of unprofessionalism. This is mostly due to most of the team having no previous sales experience and/or recent college grads -their “hell week” is prospecting leads….. the EASIEST part of sales. Astounding….. -did I mention that you are only allowed to read scripts? You can’t use your brain at all

Thank you for your review and I am sorry to learn that GDS was not the right place for you. At GDS we ensure that there is comprehensive training and ways of working in place for all new starters, regardless of experience, to ensure that everyone is onboarded and set up for success the GDS way. During onboarding, we do encourage new starters to use scripts and follow our processes to build confidence and competence. We actively recruit for Sales professionals across a wide range of experience; we are proud of being able to bring new talent into Sales, as well as developing future Sales Directors to lead our teams.

Pros

Literally none. Dont work here.

Cons

Management don't communicate. Will turf out new starts instead of developing people. Environment encourages bullying. Solid 70% of staff are taking drugs at work.

Pros

- Great people - Base salary is pretty good - Good location - Gain sales experience, communication skills - speak to senior execs from across industries - team leaders are supportive

Cons

- micro-managing - unrealistic expectations - give great incentives and can earn huge commission but only a very small percentage will actually achieve this - call 100+ execs a day that everyone else is contacting who don't want to speak to you - Unequal pay, some team leaders earn less than new people, slow to give promotions and pay rises - High turnover - This is great if you need a job and want to get some experience but same thing every single day and not a career - Everyone (including management) so stressed out it filters down - Company didn't perform well so they took 5 days holiday from everyone - Management constantly changing processes/pay/commission structure etc - what youre doing is never good enough, you will always be expect to do better than youre doing.
