Pros

Decent Product and you come across some good people.

Cons

The company maintains a high-pressure sales environment with little strategic direction or long-term vision from management. Leadership places an excessive emphasis on call volume rather than meaningful customer engagement, prioritizing short-term results over sustainable growth. Business Development Executives receive minimal support and resources, making success difficult to achieve. The culture encourages overly aggressive sales tactics that risk damaging the brand’s credibility. Success appears limited to long-tenured employees, while high turnover remains a persistent problem. Senior leadership, including the CEO, is known for micromanagement and relying on surface-level motivational talk instead of providing genuine leadership or fostering a supportive environment. Morale across the team is generally low due to unrealistic weekly KPIs and a lack of job security. The culture also feels exclusionary, favoring a small inner circle rather than recognizing performance or potential fairly.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We understand your concerns regarding tagret pressure and KPIs. Unfortunately this is synonymous with new business sales and not unique to GDS Group. We constantly review our goal-setting processes, pipeline expectations and internal training to ensure eveyone is set up for success. If outbound sales and pipeline drive our not your thing, perhaps you should consider a position outside of sales. Thank you again for your time and feedback, it really does help us improve.

Pros

Been able to make some long term friends but even they hate the place from top to bottom.

Cons

Really unsure where to start….. CEO changes his mind like the wind with projects/ideas. He is only in it for himself. He will happily walk past you in the office and ignore you after saying hello or asking how he is. Not had a pay review in over 18 months. Completely shut down when you ask management, everyone else in the same boat. We are told to lie to clients about who is attending events and name drop large companies. Everyone tries to steal your leads and there are multiple cross overs in some cases the same lead being emailed by over 10 people. Senior management changes occur far too often which has effected culture.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While it’s difficult to read that your experience has been negative, we genuinely appreciate you raising these concerns. We understand how important communication, recognition and consistency are to a healthy work environment. In terms of leadership changes - the SLT has remained the same for the past two years so we do not agree with your take on changes at the top leading to a challenging work environment, as this simply has not been the case. We have created an aligned sales structure where individuals work in verticalised teams. As such we have seen a dramtic reduction in cross over with individuals working on the same leads. Backed up by stringent and well managed rules of engagement, its very clear and obvious who works on which leads. Unfortunately your point on 'eveyone tries to steal your leads' does not truly represent how things are done at GDS Group. Thank you for your time and good luck moving forward.

Pros

Met a few good people here, but none of them lasted. Everyone eventually quit or got pushed out.

Cons

This company is a perfect example of how to burn out employees, squander talent, and mismanage a sales org. Team members are often overlooked, talked down to, and treated more like call-center output than actual professionals. My manager consistently interacted with me and others in ways that were discouraging and demoralizing, and it was clear there was little interest in coaching or developing people. The culture feels more like a clique-driven high school environment than a workplace. Turnover is nonstop, and the atmosphere noticeably changes whenever senior leadership is around. KPIs are unrealistic, and the product is genuinely tough to sell in the current market. Hitting quota is rare, many reps only close a couple of small deals the entire year, and the commission structure doesn’t make it any easier. You’re closely monitored from the moment you log in, and by mid-morning you’re already being questioned about your activity. Late hours are common due to rigid activity requirements. Training is minimal, senior reps generally keep to themselves, and asking for help sometimes gets interpreted as not being capable rather than trying to improve. The day-to-day environment is loud, chaotic, and high stress. Headphones aren’t allowed. Standards are enforced unevenly. Some people are given a wide berth, while others are micromanaged over very small things. The culture leans heavily on pressure, constant urgency, and short-term reactions instead of any real long-term strategy or leadership approach. If you care about your mental health, professional development, or actually improving as a salesperson, I’d strongly recommend looking at other companies. Leaving this role was genuinely one of the best decisions I’ve made for my career.
