      Pays the bills and that’s about it.

      Pros

      It’s a job, if you’re full time you get hours, they’re trying.

      Cons

      No room to grow with this job. They don’t care if you’re being mentally abused by supervisors at all. They will mess up your pay and make you battle to get it. Will force you to work overtime then get mad that you worked overtime. Will adjust your hours to avoid overtime at all costs. They take on more contracts than they can handle and they don’t hire qualified individuals at all. Your pay will never increase unless you move to another contract. Most severely underpay you anyway.

      As far as security companies go, one of the better ones.

      Cons

      Zero room for advancement. No such thing as a raise, it's dependent upon what the client wants to pay and most clients shop around for the cheapest provider... so the sales representatives literally work to sell you as cheap as possible. Recently removed all decent health insurance options... now the only coverage is the bottom-of-the-line carriers.

      Pros

      I have worked for G4S for about a year now and I can’t think of any pros. It’s a paycheck, that’s it. There is no loyalty, there is no respect, there is no communication. You are a number on a page and when you’re not needed anymore I’m sure they’ll get rid of you.

      Cons

      The pay isn’t great for the crap you have to put up with, both on the site and from management. They will cut your hours and your pay without warning and expect you to just deal with it and accept it. There is ZERO room for advancement, HR will overlook you for better paying jobs within the company to avoid having to replace you. Bottom line: G4S is so out of touch with the times and so out of touch with their employees. Go to ANY other security company, I promise you’ll be better off.
