Pros

Quick and easy hiring process. Scheduling department has plenty of shifts available for those who need them. Decent benefits for full-time employees.

Cons

Wretched pay scale. Management is immature and deflects complaints about work-site safety and inter-employee harassment. Low and mid-level management seem to be bigger fish in progressively smaller ponds. Bullying is a commonly used technique to intimidate employees into conforming to unofficial "rules and regulations". Scheduling and management often uses abusive language. No work-life balance whatsoever.

There were no good reasons to work at G4S other than a paycheck.

Cons

The uniforms were cheap, the pay was average, but the employee support was horrible. G4S is geared toward hiring people, lots of people. The support for employees is almost non-existent. Have a question about your benefits? There is no HR specialist to talk to you. If you're lucky the receptionist who answers the phone might e-mail you a plan document. Other regional locations around the country may be different but this was my experience in Burlington, MA.
