This company is small enough to have an impact. Good brand reputation. Strategic partnerships with some suppliers. Part of the Freudenberg group, which should be a benefit.

Cons

Limited career opportunities. An assembly shop that strives for manufacturing results. Still figuring out what type of company it wants to be.

Pros

There are a lot of great people at Freudenberg Medical and the environment, organization, and leadership is constantly changing. If you are just starting your career, you will likely grow and learn a lot in the first 18-24 months. Benefits and pay seem to be in line with the industry. Good exposure to other sister sites in US and other countries.

Cons

The site level management does not align with the principles of the parent organization, which is sad because the parent organization seems really good and forward thinking. Expect layoffs without notice, and General Managers who are disconnected from the real day to day operations. It is a generally chaotic environment to work in, which can be fun for a period of time, but gets old. Continual and conflicting priorities from the top down with no regard for resource load make it difficult to complete anything, or to feel good when something does actually get finished. There aren't really opportunities for career growth if you are not open to relocation, lateral moves or a vacancy when a management position turns over. The facility is very old and deteriorating rapidly (break rooms, bathrooms, etc). This isn't acceptable for a medical device company.
