Pros

A lot of the people who work there are excellent at what they do, and are very nice people. There are some nice perks like free drinks and snacks, gym membership, and fairly regular company events.

Cons

It seemed that people were dismissed left, right and centre, leaving you questioning your position in the company. One person left, and anyone they worked closely with would leave a week later. I feel sorry for the new people who come into the company not knowing what they are about to experience. The company used to be excellent, and then it turned to rubble. There is a real lack of “culture”. Employees were made to spread word about how good the company is, which was embarrassing considering many of them didn’t like the CEO’s attitude to pretty much everyone. He treated employees like servants and continually humiliated not only women in general, but women in the company. General mocking, teasing and snide and dirty comments were made, and an atmosphere littered with gossip gave this workplace a horrid smell. A lot of the immature employees take after the CEO’s juvenile behaviour. Nothing substantial was done to alleviate bullying and the CEO sometimes shouted at employees in a threatening manner, said personally hurtful things, or talked about people behind their back. It’s insulting that so much money is wasted by the company on useless gadgets and ugly wallpaper, and very little is done to reward employees who have worked so hard for the better part of a few years. Hard workers will receive low salary and never receive a pay rise. Management never understood a “training budget” and cared very little about employees learning anything, treating them like virtual robots. Watching the CEO spend money on a grand piano and a large handful of colour-changing light bulbs was disgusting.
