Pros

A long road to benefits and compensation. Choose wisely when applying to a department service. Service departments have the hardest and most demanding of all jobs this is anything in food/grocery. To remain professional the work will get you in shape and within 3-4 years you will get full benefits.

Cons

Never a work life balance, you are too exhausted from the work day! If you have a family you mite want to reconsider due to work demand and not having flexible schedule.

Pros

I can set my availability to anything I want. They're understanding about requested time off. The work pace is pretty relaxed.

Cons

Tons of four hour shifts, I'm part-time 12. A 20 Hour week is usually five work days. Days off are never grouped together.

Good wages, benefits will be nice once I've been around long enough to earn them. Coworkers are pleasant, management is great.

Cons

The trouble with being middle management is the pressure from the top and push back from the bottom. It seems like there's no way to win.
