Pros
- Benefits are great, you get to stay at fabulous properties, though a bit hard to get the very best ones. - Great brand to work for, there is a sense of pride - Office culture is good with friendly people, free and high-quality lunch and regular outings, events, etc. - Most people at the middle management or lower are helpful, talented, collaborative, eager to achieve.
Cons
- Very political, senior management in particular exhibit almost an adversarial attitude to each other - a lot of "Those guys" "It's their problem" "They didn't specify it" - rather than fostering conversation and collaboration - Some managers are extreme micro-managers, to the point of selecting font colors. Too focused on how they or their team appears to their managers or others in the company. - Too much bureaucracy, for the smallest changes possible. Tied with the above, results in a lot of things not progressing. - Office location is a bit out of the way, so driving in 3 days a week is difficult.
