Pros

Forever 21 is a fast, fun place to work, and provides a direct challenge to those up to the task. Working here will get you a job anywhere, due to the high volume and overall expectations of the chain. It is a recession-proof job. Forever 21 has increased sales by 10% company-wide this year, while every one else is closing down.

Cons

It is slavery. I have worked many hours of unpaid overtime, seen people fired for trying to put in a two-weeks notice, worked under a district manager who has never worked in a store in her life and when asked to watch the sales floor for an hour, buckled and called another manager in to work. Closing shifts for management are generally 2pm-2am, with one 30 minute break that you have to work through because you are the only manager in the store. Chang is slavery.

Pros

There were no pros into working here.

Cons

The whole entire time was an absolute terror time. The things you see only on bad management posts on Reddit. I’m hoping it’s just for this city in a whole. In my whole work career never experienced anything more awful and traumatizing. From being so severly understaffed to no fault other than terrible upper management making budget cuts. They do not care about their associates safety or mental health. They would much rather someone run a whole store alone and then turn around a blame you for theft. Not only that, they will hire people who aren’t qualified at crazy low rates. Then when they aren’t preforming they will just keep them there just to fill the space. The people they do keep are extremely harmful to customer experience and the people passionate about making it better they completely use them up till they burn out and leave. When working here, you will be working along side people who never grew up outside of being a highschool bully(Frequently grown managers would bully minors) , grown people who groom teenagers and people who generally just don’t care. Upper management just believes it’s ok and do nothing about it. Hence why every store looks like a nightmare.
