Pros

Product is cute, and easily stoppable with discounts. You are in a very fast paced environment so you stay busy, and it is a good place for people new to a job to get started with a lot of different skills to be learned very quickly with no support in time to learn. It’s sink or swim from day 1 with no actual time allowed to learn how to swim.

Cons

No corporate or District level support. No culture for training and growing employees. Customers are not out first, and districts consistently make decisions that sacrifice the shopping experience. It is 100% about quantity over quality. The employees are never put first. The company constantly changes DOR and sacrifices work load, ethics, and employees Hours and paychecks when ever they need a quick fix. Hourly associates are expected to be 100% flexible with their time and never know if the company will ask them to work crazy amounts of overtime 1 week, or cut them down to less than 10hrs the next. Large volume fast paced sales make all levels extremely stressful and new hires often leave because they can’t handle it. Benefits are not good and copays are crazy high. Maintenance in stores and LP procedures create questionable work environments. Turn over is high all year and hard to staff because the Higher ups do not value their teams and word of mouth is rarely positive for F21.

Pros

Before new structure changes * set schedule 7-3 Monday- Friday. Didn’t work a weekend for 6 months and that’s awesome for retail! *creative freedom with setting up shops for Floor set *freedom to work extra hours for overtime

Cons

Everything after restructure .... While I know many retail stores are struggling, (as I’ve worked for many in the past) I’ve never been expected even in the toughest times to cut hours so low to where you can’t even run your store...as we all know the maintenance to keep up with product/ recovery/ and over all cleanliness of the store takes many hands. In a matter of three weeks since the drastic cuts In payroll our store is in ruins.... we’ve been closing with a minimum of at least 15 racks of go backs, nothing is organized , brand shops are in the most disarray...... we’ve also had to terminate full time managers, part leads. Some remaining managers had to take pay cuts. What sucks the most, is our customers are frustrated in us for it being this way, assuming we’re lazy or we don’t care but the truth is we do, but when you only allow 4 people to work on a weekend we can’t get it all done.
