Pros

Forever21 is a global company and a great stepping stone for your next job. We have a nice office building and a Starbucks inside. Dress code is pretty casual.

Cons

It could be difficult to build a career. Some of my coworkers still have the same job as their hiring role. I agree with the part that employees should work hard and prove they add value to the companies business. However, I believe that a good company should care about every employee and offer them trainings; otherwise, some of us wouldn't have the opportunity and tools to excel.

Pros

The job on the surface was very fun, cool clothes, nice people for the most part but the upper management styles are in need of a major overhall. Overall, I learned a lot about how a retail business works and was given opportunity to display leadership through the training of employees.

Cons

At the same time, I also saw the negative effects of bad employee morale, bad management and do-nothing people in corporate. I was told that I was not good enough to be a manager. Despite the fact that the majority of management in this location regularly showed up late, left the training of employees to cashiers and sales associates (like myself), hired their friends, displayed poor communication to employees and showed rampant favoritism. I worked here while juggling a school schedule.

Pros

The only pros are the workers but even then some of them are pretty rude especially to the new workers like myself.

Cons

No onw trains you to do anything. On my first day my manager told me to go work in the men's section and that was it... she didn't tell me what to do or how to respond to people's questions. I had to ask my co-workers what to do and even then many of them had no idea cuz they weren't properly trained either. The store carries waaaay too many clothes and is always messy. Clothes are placed on random hangers instead of grouped into style or colour or price. Therefore when customers clme up and ask where a specific clothing is... no one knows because it's just placed randomly in the stores. Customers then get mad at the sales associates even though it's not our fault that we weren't properly trained. On top of that, the shifts are usually only 4 hours long. I only make $11.25/hr, and it costs me $16 to get to and back from work. Thete I'm only making $29 on and average day. my previous job my LOWEST paycheck was $200 for 2weeks work. At forever 21 my HIGHEST paycheck was $173 also for 2 weeks of work. And now that the holidays are over, my hours are about to get cut. A former employee already warned me but i didn't listen. But I'm definitely quitting as soon as I find a new job.
