Pros

Friendly people. Fun atmosphere.As long as you have a good manager the time goes by extremely fast. The store layout changes a lot as well, so you're not looking at the same thing constantly.

Cons

Bad hours, short breaks. Very unprofessional. At my particular location schedule is supposed to be up by noon Wednesday. Schedule is usually not posted until Thursday or Friday. They schedule on the days that you have already set as unavailable. Hours are highly inconsistent. One week I had 30 hours, the next week I had zero [literally]

Pros

- Get to see all the clothes before they're put on the floor - Very lenient with taking time off and/or working with your schedule - Managers are usually very respectful, friendly, and listen to your concerns

Cons

- Pay is crap - Some employees screw around on company time (i.e. - watching videos, painting nails, sitting around talking, etc) and nothing is done - Too much shipment, not enough space, and nowhere near enough hours to effectively deal with it - District Manager treats employees like they're slaves - You only get a 10 minute break if you work 5 hours or less; 30 minutes for 6+ hours - Direct Deposit is only for full-time employees - No benefits for part-time employees - No prosecution for shoplifters; aside from using a stupid "recovery statement", we're not allowed to do anything to a customer even if they're very obviously taking something. We're not allowed to call police - not even mall security! - Horrible return/exchange policy - Customers can be extremely rude: they pull stuff off shelves and racks and throw them on the ground if they don't want them, will walk behind you and mess up stuff you just fixed, and basically treat you like crap and act like you have some sort of personal vendetta against them if you tell them they can't do something or we are sold out of an item

Pros

Gain good experience as far as basic retail functions go. You also get reviews and raises every 6 months.

Cons

The store get extremely messy so your forced to focus on keeping the store clean rather than on customer service. It is also crazy busy during the holiday season. At our particular store we had a high turnover of management and associates.
