Review of Working at Flex

Pros

Great people and great managemet. The opportunities for growth in you career are there but never at a reasonable wage

Cons

Low pay. Company speaks on how they are not a contract management company however when promoted they state they are a contract management company so their pay reflects that and it will be low in comparison with other jobs in the Bay Area. Benefits are not that good for being in the San Jose area. Low Pay, Expensive Benefits = Less take Home. 401k is subpar. Company Discounts are not that good especially with the companies we work with. Pushed to Layoff when you cannot afford to lose someone. Now are scrambling to do our work. Not allowed for overtime even though we layoff. Some things just don't make sense. If I find something else I will have to step away.

Flex = No Flexibility for employees

Business Outlook

Pros

Good MNS Exposure, Company doing well in market, stable job.

Cons

1. Non Flexibility in work time - cannot miss even mili seconds while login & logout. 2. No opportunity for explorer - every thing should be approved by Manager and Manager ask you to leave the company if you ask to explore. 3. Earned leaves are not earned in FLEX they are meant to be used or elapse - worst way of exploiting Employees leaves. 4. Work culture is not good - Manager can ruin your life if you don't agree with him/her. 5. Flex is Miser - Flex will suck even penny from you if you owe anything from them. 6. No onsite opportunity - if you go for some transition you are only bringing project and nothing for your benefit. 7. Exit from flex is nightmare - 3 month notice period compulsory - non negotiable against leaves/money. even if any kind of emergency even your parents serious medical requirement they will not allow to relieve before 3 months.

It's Ok if you don't have nothing else, but NOT for longterm

Pros

The opportunity of being in touch with engineering work; i.e. manufacturing, quality, design. Some good elements, you can learn and have a good professional experience but it is not a long term job.

Cons

There is no individual-group development plan, false promises. They are cheap, salaries below average. Be careful, this is NOT a long term company.
