Pros

Good compensation and benefits; business is stable and growing. Laptops and VPN facilitate working from home.

Cons

Office procedures are very, very complex, and no formal training is provided to carry out those procedures. This makes for an extremely difficult onboarding process. Program managers only find out what they need to do at the time it is needed, and thus have to figure it out and execute it at the same time, often in situations that are already urgent. Subject matter experts are stretched thin, placing additional burden on them and other employees. Also work/life balance is not that good due to these demands. PMs work occasional (or frequent) evenings and weekends to stay caught up.
