Pros

-Great people to work with, who are social, willing to explain things you may not understand, and are confident enough in their opinions and colleagues to defend their point, but also see the point of view of others. -The educational and continued-learning benefits are substantially greater than other companies I have worked for. -Very accommodating between work and personal life, as I've come to understand it and have come to infer from others. There will be times when you have to work your butt off although it never feels forced, and other times when coworkers will be asking "Why haven't you taken a vacation yet?"

Cons

Compared to the workflow in other industries, there aren't a whole lot of downsides, but there are definitely busier portions of the year. Depending on which industry you cover, expect to be a little overwhelmed during year end and quarterly financial releases.

Pros

Excellent work-life balance, very interesting jobs, good access to top management at clients, very good internal and external training support, high degree of responsibility even at junior level, independence, virtually no mobbing, very nice and well educated colleagues, good compensation compared to a corporate banking job, 20% travel, very international team atmosphere, junior to mid level staff get significantly higher degree of responsibility than at Moody's or S&P but significantly lower compensation

Cons

Incompetence of some senior managers in acting as responsible staff managers, no real team work, no significant benefits except pension contributions, long work hour in some departments (e.g. FI, SF), annual bonus on low side, performance reward not in line with effort undertaken
