Pros

Company is well positioned for growth and has a solid business model to support this growth. The addition of CheckFree added substantial bench strength at the corporate level, providing additional technology and marketing resources.

Cons

Long hours and high expectations prevail. Not all behaviors desired by Sr. Mgmt have been embraced at the business unit level. Dual standards often apply.

Pros

Career opportunities and the direction management has begun to lay out for the company's future. This is a company that truly does have what it takes to dominate their industry and bring their clients into the next generation of financial services, an industry that is very much in need of a new direction given the current financial state but to do this it is going to take some big steps by management. Fiserv is promising big things but to get there there are going to be some decsisions to be made to get there. For people looking to do the work to help drive a company to the top, Fiserv is the place to be.

Cons

Across the board I would have to say it is a lack of trust in employees to make the correct decsisions, because of this things are continually getting bottle-necked and pushed back because absoloutly everything needs to be approved by about 4 top people, this includes: products, communications, vendors, basic structures, partnerships. Overall, employee morale seems low, which also seems to stem from a lack of trust of fellow co-workers
