Pros

1) Co-workers are some of the nicest people i've ever met. 2) Everyone works hard and are good at what they do. 3) This pro list used to be a lot longer 3 years ago.

Cons

1) I learned what red tape really means working for this company. 2) We promote One Fiserv but there is so much pettiness between the business lines it's amazing. 3) Company has no problem with underpaying their associates. 4) It is TOO obvious that the bottom line is the most important. 5) No genuine attempt is made to retain good workers. 6) In a time where even small pats on the back go a long way we all Fiserv does is nothing. 7) Takes a year to analyze a employee sat survey only to be followed by a second employee sat survey. 8) I understand the need for offshoring. I have had good experiences working with our offshore. Why do we try to offshore positions that are obviously a horrible fit only to lose time, money, and most importantly, knowledge with this constant shuffling? What happens when India isn't cheap anymore? 9) Projects are often delayed or cut down because of resourcing. When it takes almost 3 months to find and get an offshore resource ramped up even before training they aren't going to help on the current project. When a project is delayed a month due to no resources being able to setup servers.

Pros

- One thing that was impressive are the time off allotments - Good cafeteria plan - Activities to get employees out and active -Decent entry level pay (if you try to negotiate the pay that is) - Incentive programs that provide decent gifts

Cons

-Drama! (Relevant at any job, but this job is seriously middle school) -Managers don't take accountability for their mistakes and try to turn the blame around by blaming employees. -Again, absolutely zero accountability in mistakes that cost Fiserv money in penalties (I was written up for a mistake a manager and an associate did a previous department and told I was cause even without them taking the chance to let me speak). - Very authoritarian environment that instills a fear in the employees. You never know who is getting fired next. - HORRIBLE insurance. I paid for a whole years of insurance and every place I went to whether its doctor or dentist could never find me in their system even though I paid for the insurance bi-weekly. - Micro-management. Its a cutthroat kind of environment where any associate will stab you in the back to make themselves look better. -Lack of advancement. a 1.5% raise (9 cents) isn't going to cut it. Sorry but employees should be recognized more for the hard work they put in. - Managers don't listen to employees and favor a select few. The rest are fair game for any form of attack or are scrutinized by every little thing.
