If there was a "50 Worst Companies to Work For' list, Fiserv would be a permanent member
Pros
Good location, nice campus atmosphere Cafeteria program - started out ok, went downhill, then got much better after the company raised the subsidy it paid to the vendor. $3.00/day for breakfast and lunch is a good deal
Cons
Rampant favoritism, periodic layoffs, bosses that were promoted simply because they did a good job somewhere else even though they have no experience in their new position Below average pay, awful benefits, and persistent micromanagement Non-existent communication between higher-ups and lower-level direct reports Lack of communication between departments that may result in more than one group working on the same issue Employees are stressed out, have low morale, and considerable anxiety wondering if they will be the next to be laid off. No raises for two years and when they were reinstituted, limited to no more that 3% Quarterly bonuses are a joke... what used to be as much as 7% (annualized) are now limited to no more the 3% Contant reshuffling of divisions, departments has lead to confusion among employees and has signifcantly hindered productivity Work/Home Life balance...forget about it. The only thing that matters at Fiserv is the bottom line...
