Depends on the location

Pros

The location I work in is a good campus, decent people. Management has been working to make changes over the years that long term should have a positive outcome for the company. The company's performance is solid, check the stock price.

Cons

Say one thing, do another. We talk of client commitment, but we seem to have issues keeping our word thered. Resources are tight and at times the resulting product isn't all it was hyped up to be, too much over-promise and under deliver.

Really missing the old days

Pros

There aren't many but I will say the people I work with are great it's about the only thing that keeps me going in

Cons

There are many. This company has done a complete 180 on it's vision and treatment of its employees since I first started there. We used to have a week long employee appreciation event now its a day. It was called People Make the Difference Week and was briefly called Fiserv Makes the Difference week. To the companies credit they changed it back but expressed surprise when the employees expressed outrage at this. They released some generic sounding email saying it was never their intention to take the people out of people make the difference week. The new thing is to find the sacrificial lamb for any issue that occurs. I know of at least one long term employee who was let go because a client wanted some one gone for a mistake that in the end wasn't even our fault but since this client is a high value one they get what they want. This leads to another issue where it seems that this company runs on the principle of the squeaky wheel gets the grease. What ever customer screams the loudest gets the attention and in some cases other clients suffer.
