Pretty hard to get elevated no matter how good you are if you don't have a lighter skin. They have it at the back of their heads that locals don't know a thing. Experienced a situation where a fresh white graduate comes in a similar capacity as you, show him what to do, two months along the line you start reporting to him and gets 5 times your pay
