Pros

Health Insurance, PTO, A paycheck. These are the only PROS I can think of. Some flexibility --but only if you are liked.

Cons

Supervisors, Managers, Directors and Executive Dept are snobs. Your opinion and your experience does not matter. It's a waste of time to make suggestions. Marketing department are to enroll as many as they can regardless--even if you have to lie on applications. It's all about the number of people enrolled. Executive management is not to be trusted. They deceive NYS , the public, their providers and employees on a lot of little things--this way it goes unnoticed. They are awful stewarts of the taxpayers money. The workload is off balance, those who work hard are not appreciated by their direct supervisors or managers--but only taken advantage of. If you have a good work ethic--this place is not for you --you will end up frustrated.

Pros

Industry Standard Salary, mission based healthcare your colleagues are your teammates in the game of survivor. HR works hard at their revolving door as well as countering all the negative, truthful reviews on here.

Cons

Directors and Above lead by fear and intimidation. creating a suffocating environment, they will never converse or care to talk with lower paid employees. There is no life balance and have no trust in their employees, resulting in poor morale. No benefits to stay long term. The ideal employee to them does not have kids or a family- you should expect to easily work 60 hours a week and if your hourly, you will be Micromanaged. The department I left You have to call in to your supervisor when you go to lunch and when you come back. If you are a smart and innovative person, learn to keep your mouth shut. They don't like to hear ways to improve processes. The harder a task the better because they've done it that way since they have been in business. Employees work like its the 50s - people don't have things they need to make work easier and more efficient - smart phones, laptops, more copiers that handle the work load for the size of the department, cubes large enough for you to sit comfortably and discuss sensitive matters privately etc. and paper paper and more paper no use of modern technology to manage routine reports. Anything for them to save a buck, at the expense of a comfortable work environment. Hopefully you never have to work in their Victor office. I had a friend in same department that worked out of that office and said people complained all the time because they actually have to share desks and that they no longer had a desk to work at when they needed to do desk work - they had to work in a cafeteria and the people eating were upset to hear them make work calls while they ate lunch. I didn't believe people would have to share desks but I heard from several others it's really true. That speaks volumes. To how they care about their employees- they don't.
